MADRID, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Spanish engineering firm Duro Felguera MDF.MC said on Tuesday it had struck a deal with South Korea's Samsung C&T Corp 000830.KS to continue an Australian mining project after its partner Forge Construction

FGE.AX entered administration.

Duro Felguera, which was in a consortium with Australia's Forge, said on Friday Samsung had cancelled the A$1.47-billion ($1.33 billion) Roy Hill Iron Ore Project.

It said in a statement on Tuesday to Spain's stock market regulator that it had signed a term sheet with Samsung to continue its share of the work and that Samsung would cover Forge Construction's part.
