Peruvian miner Buenaventura says workers on strike at silver mine

LIMA, March 12 (Reuters) - Peruvian miner Buenaventura

BVN.N BVN.LM said on Wednesday that contract workers at its Uchucchacua silver mine went out on strike on Tuesday.

Buenaventura, Peru's largest publicly traded mining company, said the work stoppage is not related to annual negotiations with unions.
