MOSCOW, March 17 (Reuters) - Moscow-traded shares in Russian precious metals miner Polymetal
POLY.MM surged almost 40 percent on Monday, while shares in titanium giant VSMPO Avisma
VSMO.MM added 31 percent.
Polymetal's key London-listed shares
POLYP.L were up 4 percent. It was not clear what was fuelling the rise.
Polymetal and VSMPO Avisma typically have low liquidity in Moscow. The Russian benchmark index for metals and mining companies was up 7 percent after shares were buoyed by signs of some movement on the Russian side to engage in diplomacy over Ukraine.
