Fitch Publishes New Global LNG Producers Dashboard

MILAN/LONDON, February 10 (Fitch) Fitch Ratings has published its dashboard of 
global liquefied natural gas (LNG) producers.  

The dashboard points to the sector's shifting dynamics amid the strong 
performance of established oil price-linked producers and the emergence of 
tolling structures as the favoured contractual set-up for North American 
liquefaction projects.  Also noted is a trend in credit quality deterioration 
among offtakers and the implicit support to sector prospects from the high 
contract price requirements of high-cost projects under development. 

The dashboard also indicates short-term contracts and spot market volumes and 
Japanese energy policy as key indicators for the sector's future performance. 

In addition, the dashboard highlights the typical characteristics of an 
investment-grade project-financed LNG producer and presents a comparison of some 
of the LNG projects rated by Fitch.
