Jan 15 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 2100 GMT on Wednesday:

** A number of Time Warner Cable Inc TWC.N shareholders would support a merger with Charter Communications Inc CHTR.O if Charter raises its current bid for its larger rival to $41 billion or more, according to people close to the matter.

** Riverbed Technology Inc RVBD.O rejected hedge fund Elliott Management Corp's $3.08 billion offer, increasing pressure on the network gear maker to deliver on its turnaround plans. News Search ID:nL3N0KP425
