BRIEF-Origin Energy says suspends drilling operations across 12 rig sites in south west central Queensland

March 13 (Reuters) - Origin Energy Ltd ORG.AX :

* Origin responds to drilling materials supply incident

* Taken precautionary measure to suspend its drilling operations across 12 rig

sites in south west central Queensland

* All stocks of affected material have been quarantined and accounted for

throughout the supply chain from storage warehouse to site

* Says amc has instigated a withdrawal of the product from the market and is

conducting tests into the source

* Measure follows notification from Australian Mud Company Pty that imported

product (nutplug) sometimes used in drilling fluids found to contain asbestos
