BRIEF-Buccaneer Energy says funding update

March 14 (Reuters) - Buccaneer Energy Ltd BCC.AX :

* Co's directors are not in a position to sign co's 31 December 2013 HY

financial statements, and therefore co is unable to lodge them as per ASX

listing rules

* Primary reasons for delay in signing are material uncertainty and

confidential and incomplete negotiations that impact ability of directors to

sign directors' report and directors' declaration
