* ACCC: accc calls for comment on AGL's proposed acquisition of Macquarie Generation AGK.AX

* Accc-Accc says preliminary view is that proposed acquisition is likely to result in a substantial lessening of competition in market for retail supply of electricity in NSW

* Accc- "the proposed acquisition would remove the largest source of independent generation capacity in NSW"

* Accc-final decision will be deferred until 4 March 2014
