BRIEF-Anglo American Platinum Q4 equivalent refined platinum production up 25 pct

JOHANNESBURG, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Anglo American Platinum Ltd AMSJ.J :

* Says Mogalakwena quarterly production increased by 24 pct year-on-year

* Q4 group equivalent refined platinum production was up 25 pct to 520 koz compared to 416 koz in Q4 2012

* Says approximately 44,000 platinum ounces of production were lost because of industrial action in Q4

* Equivalent refined production from mines including Western Limb Plant 311 koz, up 35 pct versus 2012

* Q4 output at Tumela, Dishaba mines hurt by production crews shortage from extended SEC. 189 process

* At Tumela, Dishaba, redeployment of labour has concluded, productivity improvements to be seen in 2014
