Brazil soy exports jump in Feb as harvest kicks in -trade ministry

SAO PAULO, March 6 (Reuters) - Brazil exported 2.79 million tonnes of soybeans in February, up sharply from 30,600 tonnes in January, Trade Ministry data released on Thursday showed.

Brazil's started harvesting in northern Mato Grosso state in late December, but harvest has spread across most of the center-south grain belt in the past month. The country exported 959,600 tonnes of soybeans in February of 2013.
