SYDNEY, Feb 6 (Reuters) - The Australian dollar AUD=D4 rose half a U.S. cent on Thursday after upbeat trade and retail data supported the view the Reserve Bank of Australia was done cutting interest rates.

The Aussie dollar leapt to $0.8975, its highest in nearly a month, from $0.8909 in early trade. A break above key chart resistance of $0.8988 would target $0.9087, the January peak.
