Australian dlr jumps after strong GDP data reinforces steady rate outlook

SYDNEY, March 5 (Reuters) - The Australian dollar AUD=D4 leapt a third of a U.S. cent on Wednesday after data showed Australia's economic growth had beaten forecasts, reinforcing expectations of a steady interest rate outlook.

The Aussie rose to a session peak of $0.8995, from $0.8943 in early trade, pulling away from a one-month low of $0.8891 touched on Monday. It was last at $0.8989.
