SYDNEY, Feb 11 (Reuters) - Australia raised its forecast for 2013/14 wheat output by 3 percent, as bumper production in Western Australia pushed the crop above 27 million tonnes for only the third time, the world's second-largest exporter said on Tuesday.
The Australian Bureau of Agriculture and Resource Economics and Sciences (ABARES) forecast the just harvested wheat crop at 27.013 million tonnes, the third highest on record, up from a December estimate of 26.213 million tonnes.
Australian canola production in 2013/14 was seen at 3.548 million tonnes, up from a previous forecast of 3.41 million tonnes.
Australian cotton production was revised down to 940,000 tonnes, from a previous forecast of 975,000 tonnes.
