Mon, 03 Feb - 6:37pm

JOHANNESBURG, Feb 3 (Reuters) - There may be progress in the wage talks between South Africa's AMCU union and the top three platinum producers by the end of this week to end a strike in the sector, the chief executive of Anglo American Platinum

said on Monday.

"I think the end of this week we will start seeing some movement. On the ground it seems people don't want this to be a protracted strike," Chris Griffiths told journalists in a conference call.
