7 December, 2016

It was a relatively quiet session in the markets on Tuesday as reflected by this short recap. The precious group ended with modest declines in light of a slightly stronger dollar; in this regard, both sterling and the yen traded below $1.27 and ¥114 mark, respectively, while the Euro held steady at just over 1.07. We did not seen anything cross the wires with respect to the bailout package being negotiated for Italy’s Monte dei Paschi di Siena bank, although we did read that fresh Italian schedules will now be scheduled for February in light of PM Renzi’s resignation.
