Gold fell to a one-month low while we were traveling last week, but a decent rally that set in on Friday managed to nudge prices back to an unchanged finish for the week. In other complexes, platinum and silver both ended practically unchanged as well, but palladium finished down after a $27/ounce swoon on Friday. The action was far different in base metals where a round of short-covering and fresh buying prompted a much stronger finish.
