As Donald Trump started his inaugural address on Friday, gold shadowed his speech by turning higher and ended the day up by roughly $9/ounce. Friday’s session also saw silver rise modestly, but curiously, both platinum and palladium outpaced gold and silver, each tacking on 2% and 5.2%, respectively. In fact, palladium finished at just under $800/ounce, a post-May 2015 high.
