Gold finished up by almost $9/ounce on Friday and was on track for its biggest weekly gain in two months. Its rise pulled silver along as well (up $.15/ounce) for a gain of 3.3% on the week, its best showing since January. Platinum gained almost $4/ounce, but palladium faded, down $3.25 in relatively quiet trading
