We had a very uneventful finish in the gold market on Tuesday, with prices ending slightly lower; this is somewhat to be expected given that we are heading into the Federal Reserve rate decision and Janet Yellen’s news conference on Wednesday. Silver experienced a modest loss as well, but more substantial selloffs set in over both platinum and palladium. US stock markets recovered after a technology-led selloff that took hold over the past two sessions apparently ran its course, with some modest buying setting into NASDAQ
