Highlights for 2016... At the outset, we would like to take this opportunity to wish our readers all the best for the upcoming New Year. For our part, we will strive to continue serving our clients with the quality service they deserve and expect across all our business segments. All we can say to start off this piece, is what a difference a year makes! At this time last year, amid talk of widespread mining company defaults and plunging markets, things looked quite bleak in the commodity space and a sixth consecutive bear market seemed to be in the cards. As it turned out, this impression turned out to be a giant head fake that few read correctly; most markets not only bottomed out during Q1 of 2016, but many mounted stunning rallies over the course of 2016 to tip the Thomson Reuters CRB index into a closing gain for the first time since 2010.
